The 18LW2400 is the evolution of our industry standard 18LW1400 subwoofer. It is an extended low frequency loudspeaker designed for use as a low bass or subwoofer component, in either a reflex, bandpass or horn loaded configuration. The loudspeaker can directly retrofit 18LW1400 without cabinet modifications, while providing higher maximum SPL, increased program power handling and lower power compression. For optimum results we recommend amplifiers able to deliver 2400 Watt program power without clipping.&lt;br /&gt;
Transducer design features include a large displacement suspension system which, in conjunction with a fiberglass reinforced, straight ribbed cone and the Eighteen Sound proprietary Triple Silicon Spider (TSS) technology, allows an ultra-linear piston action and provides full mechanical control across the entire working range.&lt;br /&gt;
The 100 mm (4 in) inside-outside copper voice coil based on Interleaved Sandwich Voice coil (ISV) technology provides high levels of thermal stability and durability.&lt;br /&gt;
In order to furtherly increase power handling and reduce power compression figure, 18LW2400 uses the same voice coil ventilation technology developed for our flagship 9000 neodymium transducer series. A special low density material air diffractor has been placed into the backplate acting as a cooling system, increasing power handling capability and lowering the power compression figure. As a final result Eighteen Sound engineers obtained almost 1 dB reduction in full power power compression value if compared to 18LW1400, and an increased program power handling value of 2400 Watt.&lt;br /&gt;
The low distortion and unmatched sound quality of the 18LW2400 has been significantly improved by Double Demodulating Rings (DDR) embedded in the pole piece of the magnetic structure. These have been designed to reduce the intermodulation and harmonic distortion while improving the transient response.&lt;br /&gt;
10% reduction in weight have been obtained optimizing the magnetic structure through advanced FEA CAD simulation tools.&lt;br /&gt;
18LW2400 is able to perform properly under inclement weather conditions: the exclusive cone treatment improves pulp strength and gives water repellent properties to both sides of the cone. In addition, the special treatment applied to top and back plates of the magnetic structure is far more resistant to the corrosive effects of salts and oxidization.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

    The 18ND9300 is an extended low frequency loudspeaker which sets a new industry standard in 18&quot; (460 mm) neodymium high performance transducers. The speaker has been derived from our flagship 18LW1400, after in-depth studies on magnetic circuit design, which focused on dissipating the heat generated by the powerful 4&quot; coil.&lt;br/&gt;The loudspeaker design provides clean and undistorted LF reproduction at a very high SPL and enables the speaker to withstand high power levels without damage.&lt;br/&gt;The neo magnet assembly assures high flux concentration, low power compression and excellent heat exchange. The external magnet configuration is considerably more efficient than traditional under-pole magnet topology. This results in high levels of force factor and power handling with an optimum power to weight ratio.&lt;br/&gt;The heatsink has been specifically studied using F.E.A. simulators and the necessary heat transfer to the dissipative structure has been improved. The heat sink concept has been further improved by using an air-diffractor that offers high thermal capacity and has been designed to force air moved by the dust cap through the heat sink fins and cool it down. The direct contact between the heat sink and the specially designed basket, together with the magnetic structure, represents a fundamental improvement in heat dissipation, increasing power handling capabilities and lowering power compression figure.&lt;br/&gt;18ND9300 design features include an exceptional displacement suspension system which, in conjunction with a carbon fibre reinforced, straight ribbed cone and a Double Silicon Spider (DSS), result in an ultra-linear piston action, providing full control across the entire working range.&lt;br/&gt;The state-of-the-art voice coil, based on Interleaved Sandwich Voice coil (ISV) technology, provides high levels of thermal stability and durability. The ISV technology achieves a balanced linear motor unit exerting an exceptionally high force factor. This results in an extremely linear motor assembly. &lt;br/&gt;Excellent heat dissipation has been achieved by incorporating air channels between the basket and magnetic top plate. &lt;br/&gt;Maximum flux concentration and force factor in the gap is assured by the unique shape and design of the top and back plates, which have been researched and designed using our in-house magnetic flux FEA CAD resource. &lt;br/&gt;Due to the increasing use of audio systems at outdoor events, the ability of the 18W1000 to perform in adverse weather conditions or in areas of high humidity is a key feature.     The 18W1300 is a low frequency loudspeaker which sets a new industry standard in 18&quot; (460 mm) high output transducers. It represents a further development of the Eighteen Sound 18LW1400 but with a lighter mass and increased sensitivity. &lt;br/&gt;The 18W1300 can be used as a low bass or subwoofer component, in either a reflex, bandpass or horn loaded configuration, in high power fixed or touring loudspeaker systems. It provides clean, linear, undistorted low frequency reproduction at very high power levels. In its reflex configuration, it can also be used for bass musical instrument applications. &lt;br/&gt;The high excursion capabilities of the surround and suspension system, in conjunction with the Double Silicon Spider (DSS), enable the 18W1300 to achieve high levels of linear travel while maintaining full control over the moving mass. &lt;br/&gt;The carbon fiber reinforced curvilinear ribbed cone assures smooth response and exceptional strength with maximum reliability under high mechanical stress. &lt;br/&gt;The state-of-the-art voice coil employs our own Interleaved Sandwich Voice coil (ISV) technology, in which a high strength fiberglas former carries windings on both the outer and inner surfaces. This results in a balanced coil with a uniform distribution of mass and motive energy, creating an extremely linear motor assembly. The already low distortion and unmistakable sound quality of this loudspeaker is improved by Double Demodulating Rings (DDR), designed to dramatically reduce the intermodulation and harmonic distortion while improving the transient response. &lt;br/&gt;Excellent heat dissipation has been achieved by incorporating air channels between the basket and the magnetic top plate. &lt;br/&gt;Maximum flux concentration and force factor in the gap is assured by the unique shape and design of the top and back plates, which have been researched and designed using our in-house magnetic flux FEA CAD resource. &lt;br/&gt;Due to the increasing use of high power audio systems at outdoor events or in marine environments, the 18W1300 has been designed to perform properly under inclement weather conditions. This has been achieved using of an exclusive cone treatment which improves pulp strength and gives water repellent properties to both sides of the cone. In addition, a special treatment is applied to the top and back plates which is far more resistant to the corrosive effects of salts and oxidization than any other treatment in use.</description>
